If you believe that you know anything of Configuration Management then you should know who Mike Burgess is. If not – then my guess is that you don’t have a clue about DevOps and Cloud Computing either.

Mike Burgess has studied the field of Configuration Management for last 20 years. He is the father of CFEngine, a framework for system automation that also heavily inspired others such as Puppet and Chef. I have studied Mikes research for the past year and it is incredible interesting – triggering many eureka moments.

Anyway, I just saw a this very interesting talk by Mike from the Velocity 2011 conference held this summer.
